Export terms, timelines and logistics information for international buyers

1. Port of Export
All shipments are dispatched from Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), Nhava Sheva, Mumbai, India — one of India's largest and most active container ports with regular sailings to all our target markets including Africa, Middle East and South America.
2. INCO Terms Available
We offer the following standard international trade terms. Your preferred INCO term must be confirmed at the time of purchase order:
Free On Board — Mumbai Port. We handle all costs and risk until goods are loaded onto the vessel. You arrange freight and insurance from port.
Cost, Insurance and Freight — We cover freight and insurance to your destination port. You handle import clearance and inland delivery.
Cost and Freight — We cover freight to your destination port. Insurance is arranged by the buyer. You handle import clearance.
3. Shipment Modes
We support both FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments depending on your order volume:
- LCL: For smaller orders or trial shipments (generally below 5 CBM)
- FCL (20ft): Suitable for medium-volume orders (approx. 18–22 metric tonnes)
- FCL (40ft): For high-volume orders (approx. 25–28 metric tonnes)
We work with all major freight forwarders and can recommend trusted partners in your region if required.
4. Production and Lead Time

Note: Transit time varies by destination port. Above timelines are estimates and may change due to port congestion, customs delays, or seasonal demand.
5. Export Documentation
We provide complete export documentation as standard with every shipment:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Lading (B/L)
- Certificate of Origin (COO)
- Phytosanitary Certificate (where applicable)
- Fumigation Certificate (where applicable)
- Any additional documents required by your country's import regulations (on request)
6. Packaging
All products are packed in export-grade corrugated cartons suitable for sea freight. Inner packaging includes moisture-resistant polythene wrapping for incense products. Products are packed to comply with standard international shipping requirements.
Custom packaging and private-label options are available — please specify requirements at the time of order confirmation.
7. Payment Terms
Standard payment terms for international orders:
- New buyers: 100% advance via T/T (Wire Transfer) or LC at sight
- Regular buyers: 30–50% advance, balance before shipment (mutually agreed)
- Letter of Credit (LC): Accepted from established importers
8. Insurance
Under FOB and CFR terms, buyers are responsible for arranging marine cargo insurance. Under CIF terms, Shah Enterprises arranges insurance on behalf of the buyer as part of the shipment cost. We recommend all buyers obtain adequate marine insurance for their cargo.
9. Damaged or Lost Goods
Shah Enterprises takes full responsibility for goods until they are loaded at the port of origin (under FOB terms). Any claims for damage or loss in transit must be filed by the buyer with the shipping carrier or insurance provider. We will provide all necessary documentation to support such claims.
